The hotel is located at Shilpgram, Jaisalmer, approximately 4 km from Jaisalmer Fort, as well as from the bus stand and main market. As the name suggests, the hotel is designed like a castle in the sandy terrain of Jaisalmer. In keeping with the traditions of Jaisalmer, the exteriors were constructed with honey-coloured Jaisalmer stones (e.g. Shipra, Moolsagar with grains) drawn from the most expensive mines. The defining feature of the hotel's exterior is large stones cut in rock-face style.
